Top 5 Television Shows That Were Influential Fashion
You're not alone if you've ever wished you could enter the office wearing a daring ensemble straight out of Emily in Paris or spent the day dressed in a Bridgerton gown. These are some of the most stylish TV shows ever, especially my most favorite ones.
Some television shows and fashion go hand in hand. This has been repeatedly demonstrated by Sex and the City and Gossip Girl, both of which have been able to launch a designer or a business into the stratosphere of fame with just one episode. The impact of TV shows on the fashion industry, however, has increased significantly in recent years. Dramas like Squid Game or Lupin, whose stories have little to do with fashion mythology, have succeeded in setting real trends. Simple fictitious characters have become significant fashion inspirations thanks to this phenomena.
Here are several TV series worth watching for their iconic clothes.
Sex and the City
The clothes in "Sex and the City" was styled in so many original ways, from mismatched shoes to belts covering naked midriffs. Of course, the show's key characters each had their own unique styles appropriate for their professional, romantic, and personal histories. Costume designer Patricia Field provided viewers with bold, outlandish and occasionally simply odd fashion moments and trends that weren't truly seen on TV before throughout the entire series.
Furthermore, the fashion influence of the series is still felt today, as many people imitate "SATC" styles.
Gossip Girl
One cannot refute it. The Upper East Side is home to plenty of drama and much more high fashion, from love triangles to debutante balls. When the show's concept centres on the lives of affluent teenagers living in New York, it is difficult to imagine anything but luxury. For the past 15 years, the show has been playing continuously on our televisions, creating a demand in us for Serena's "White Party" outfit, Jenny Humphreys' gothic clothing, and the iconic Blair Waldorf headpiece.
Euphoria
We are "NEVER HAPPIER" and the year is 2022, so say goodbye to the 2000s. The time period may be over, but this TV programme is reviving it and reigniting our passion for cut-out bodycon dresses, purple eyeliner glitter, and everything short — skirts, tops, we want it all. With season two now in progress and a tonne of clothes to slay, Euphoria is the perfect show to binge on. From Maddie to Cassie, it has featured brand-new hairstyles, makeup styles, and fire clothes while also referencing earlier 2000s fashion trends. This programme is not for the timid, so we advise you to view it at your own risk.
Emily in Paris
Killing Eve
Killing Eve assassin Villanelle has made the series one truly fashionable affair thanks to her murderous career and lethal sense of style. The show has given us everything from billowing pink Rosie Assoulin blouses and vintage Lacroix earrings (pictured) to oversized mustard Loewe coats paired with Ann Demeulemeester lace-up biker boots. The actress Jodie Comer's brilliant onscreen presence makes her appearances even more stunning. Divine.
These are just few of my favourites, comment below which one is yours ?
