How to color coordinate your wardrobe
Color coordinating my wardrobe is literally my
current obsession. It is truly a life-changing trick that make getting
dressed each day easier while also ensuring that you always appear stylish. My
interest in organizing began when I started watching the show "Get
Organized with the Home Edit". They really make you obsessed with
organizing not just your wardrobe but entire home.
Aside from being visually beautiful, having a color-coded wardrobe makes it easier to find what you're searching for and put combinations together, so you can see what items of clothing you actually have, and it's much easier to stay organized and maintain a nice wardrobe. The goal is to create an area where you can retrieve what you want when you want it. The best systems make it quick, simple, and brainless to find what you're looking for. Lets see how can we start with organizing the color coded wardrobe
1. Cleanse your wardrobe
To start with remove everything from your closet and set aside, have a through check on each item . Now lets decide which one to keep and which one is not needed.
2. Find
a color palette you want to go for
Now that we have decide which all clothes to keep,
lets find a color code for our wardrobe As a beginner I started with my basis
color coding palette which is Black, Browns, Greys. Whites, Pinks, ROYGBIV (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet) and Prints, Patterns. In addition to that you can also use a color wheels, which is easily
available in google to know where to place the lights shades and the other
colors
3. Consider Patterns
One important point that you need
to note, is never place your patterns / prints with solid colors, that can make
the whole set up looks clumsy, or you can put if you are that confident that
you can pull it off perfectly. You'll be able to readily observe the patterns
once you've separated them from the solid colors.
So these are the basics with which
you can begin. Remember that organizing saves you time when getting ready for
the day, and it also saves you money because you avoid buying the same or
similar items now that you can see what you have and it will make you feel like you have a wardrobe like Carrie
Bradshaw (who doesn’t want that ).
